December 2009: BPS and BPE Receive Carnegie Grant
The Carnegie Corporation of New York recently awarded an 18-month, $1.5M grant to help Boston's schools improve their graduation rates. Together, the Boston Public Schools and BPE will support fifteen middle and high schools in an initiative called Accelerating Improvement through Inquiry (AI2) that will use structured, school-based cycles of inquiry to track student performance data and accelerate improvements in student learning and outcomes.
