Group launches public-school campaign

A national education advocacy organization unveiled a multi-year campaign this week to get Americans involved un public schools with a handful of edgy radio, TV and print public service announcements that call politicians to task for the records on education. The Public Education Network's campaign, called Give Kids Good Schools, also includes a website (www.givekidsgoodschools.org) that allows parents to get information about their children's school and school district. It also includes sample questions that parents can ask teachers, principals and school board members about public school quality.
