Kellogg Foundation Lines up 75th Anniversary Speakers

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has lined up 10 speakers as part of the foundation's 75th-anniversary celebration. Locations and times of speeches have yet to be announced. Russell Simmons: Founder of Def Jam Records is a model for young and aspiring entrepreneurs, March 1 and 2. Ron Clark: Hailed by Oprah Winfrey and others for his hands-on approach to teaching in East Harlem , March 15 and 16. Marian Wright Edelman: Founder and president of the Children's Defense Fund and a leading voice for disadvantaged Americans, April 18 and 19. Richard Santana: A former gang member turned Harvard graduate, May 5 and 6. Wendy Puriefoy: President of Public Education Network and a nationally recognized expert on public-school reform, May 24 and 25. Archbishop Desmond Tutu: 1984 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Aug. 5 and 6. Edward James Olmos: Actor and community activist, Sept. 29 and 30. Dr. Lawrence Einhorn: Indiana University professor who paved the way for cancer treatment in the United States and abroad, Oct. 13 and 14.
Patricia Pomerleau: President and founder of CEO Express Co. and an expert on technology, Internet commerce and corporate culture, Nov. 7 and 8.
Henry Winkler: Best-known as "the Fonz" in the television show "Happy Days"; author of children's books based on his own experience with dyslexia, Dec. 6.
