April 2005
"The National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) has long been an outspoken supporter of the accountability provisions in the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) and the regulations for students with disabilities. We have given interviews with the press, submitted letters to the editors of newspapers around the country and met with many Congressional staff to help them understand the importance of this accountability for students with disabilities and to debunk the many myths propagated by the law's opponents."
