Approved State Accountability Plans

Under NCLB, each state that receives NCLB money was required to submit an accountability plan to the US Department of Education, with the consultation of parents and the community. In most cases, the plans were not developed with the input of parents or the community, but written outside of the public domain.

Because these plans are rarely brought to the public's attention, we have compiled the plans from each state that were approved by the US Department of Education, from the Department's website. This includes plans of the assessment systems only, not the final approved assessments by the Department of Education. Please note that just because the US Department of Education has approved a plan, should not be construed as approval of the state assessment system.
