Linda L. Croushore, Ed.D.
Executive Director
The Consortium for Public Education

Linda L. Croushore, Ed.D. is the executive director of The Consortium for Public Education (formerly the Mon Valley Education Consortium) an organization she founded in 1985. The Consortium is a non-profit, community-based Local Education Fund (LEF) which raises money, seeks out resources, designs initiatives and convenes community to respond to the challenges faced by school districts in western Pennsylvania. Dr. Croushore has been a teacher and administrator in McKeesport Area School District and has been active in her home community of White Oak. She earned her B.A. at Grove City College (1968) and her M.Ed. (1970) and Ed.D. (1972) at the University of Pittsburgh. Her recent honors include selection for the Stanford Graduate School of Business-Center for Social Innovation Fellowship (2001), Carlow College’s Women of Spirit Award (2002), Faison/Brennen Distinguished Woman in Education Award (2003) and one of the top 12 leaders in education in western Pennsylvania listed in The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Oct. 20, 2004, Making a difference in education. Dr. Croushore is founder and president of the McKeesport High School Alumni & Friends Association which supports McKeesport Area School District and its students.
